GETTING TO KNOW
Little did I know how significant and challenging living out the truth of “being one” with people from other cultures would be. Hello, my name is Nancy Wolf. Thank you for visiting the BEOne website. I want to share a bit about me and tell you how BEOne came into being. My intercultural experience began in 2001 when my family and I started a journey. Sure of our calling, my husband and I, along with our four children, left the States to serve the Lord in South Africa as church planters. Only seven years post-Apartheid, we hoped to build a church where all people felt loved and welcomed. A Bible passage very close to our heart was John 17:21-22 which says, "that they may be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me." The “be one” of Scripture was much more challenging than we could have realized. By God's grace, the church we desired to plant was accomplished. During those years we saw first-hand the challenges of sustaining intercultural relationships and building effective teams, both with local partners as well as teammates from our own culture. Later, we also served in the UAE and various locations in South Asia. These experiences deepened our desire for greater cultural awareness beyond mere intelligence to relational agility. The Intercultural Intelligence and Agility training and practical tools we received from KnowledgeWorkx in Dubai has been invaluable. That's why, when we returned to the United States in 2024, I started BEOne. It's not a new idea or desire. For me, it's the continuation of a calling that began over 25 years ago. So, if there is anything I can do to help you BEOne in your personal relationships, serving on a team, navigating conflict, or receiving biblical counseling, let's connect. It's my mission to help you.
